Barkerville welcomes British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor… gold rush style!

From Thursday, August 28th to Saturday, August 30th Barkerville Historic Town was fortunate to play host to the Vice Regal Party of Her Honour the Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.

Her Honour was accompanied by Honorary Aides-de-Campe, Major Rick Lewis and Mr. John Mager.  During a two-night and three-day stay in Barkerville, Her Honour met with CEO Ed Coleman and members of the Barkerville staff and historical interpretation program, as well as the Honourable Coralee Oakes, Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development for the Province of British Columbia, His Worship Robin Sharpe, Mayor of Wells, Her Worship Mary Sjostrom, Mayor of Quesnel, Mr. Al Richmond, Chair of the Cariboo Regional District, and Mr. John Massier, Chair of the Barkerville Heritage Trust.
